About the position Villa Matteo is a residential care home located in a secluded two-story villa about 30 km north of Uppsala. The facility receives boys aged 12–15 with norm-breaking behavior and criminality, often with complex issues and difficulties in social relationships, schooling, and impulse control.
We offer a predictable, structured, and safe environment where individualized treatment is at the center. Our treatment work is based on a relational approach, clear structure, and long-term change.
We work in teams with contact persons/treatment providers and psychologists/therapists to meet each young person's needs in a professional and empathetic manner. The treatment is based on:
CBT – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy ART – Aggression Replacement Training B12 – the criminality program
As a treatment pedagog at HVB Villa Matteo, you will primarily work with: Treatment interventions based on the facility's methods Documentation of interventions and events Contact with social services, schools, and other partners Safety-creating work in everyday life Daily tasks and environmental work together with the youth
Who are you? We are looking for an engaged, stable, and relationship-building colleague who wants to contribute to change for young people in a vulnerable and criminal life situation. Personal qualities: Professional, empathetic, and clear in your interactions Structured and secure in event-driven and sometimes pressured situations Relationship-building and patient Creative and solution-focused Capable of handling a complex target group with criminality and norm-breaking behaviors
Formal requirements: Educated social worker, behavioral scientist, social educator, treatment pedagog, or equivalent post-secondary education Experience working with children and youth in treatment or social work Good collaboration skills and ability to work independently and in a structured manner
Meritorious if you have: Experience working with norm-breaking/criminal youth Knowledge of CBT, ART, MI, or other evidence-based methods Experience in documentation in social services
Employment rate and working hours: 100%. Rotating schedule with day, evening, and weekend work. Salary: According to agreement, with collective agreement. Start date: According to agreement.
